Calendar

The year is zipping-by, and before you know it the holidays will be here! Here are some products we have in stock now which will help you create a wonderful gift for a loved one; a scrapbook calendar.

If you've ever visited my store, you likely met an older gentleman who became a great personal friend to me; George. For those of you who don't know, George passed a week ago Monday; we will celebrate his life with a memorial service this Friday at 1pm at the Orono United Methodist Church. Feel free to join us as we remember our dear friend. RIP, George.

New Products

It's September, and the holidays are just around the corner. We are receiving new supplies for your holiday needs everyday! There are many other items not pictured, including the basic gray Christmas line, crate paper line, and a brand new company-McRice, which features photos which are turned into scrapbook paper. We are the only store in Maine to carry this paper. Paper scenes include ice fishing, skating, raspberries, peaches, coffee and many others. Come see us and check out this great new line!

BLOG HIJACK!!!

Surprise!

I'm hijacking the blog for a quick technique post. I was able to steal away this past weekend and do some scraping and I promised Judy months ago that if I ever created again that I'd post. So, in keeping with my promise, here's a little tutorial:

(Actually, I'm pretty sure, I've shown this idea before but it was many moons ago and sometimes it's just nice to have an idea repeated in a different way to get the juices flowing, right?!)

Masking:

1- Pick your sticker, vinyl letter, or shape and place where you want it on your paper.

2 - Using ink, chalk, or paint add color over the top of your sticker and blend into the paper until you have the shade you are looking for.

3- Remove sticker!

See, easy!

It's a fun way to add a new look to your pages, cards and such.

Here is an easy way you can make any treasure box, like the ones in our last post. Take some paper and Amy’s favorite white, sticky Mod Podge or Decoupage and cover an empty Cigar Box.

Cigar boxes are great they come in many different sizes and shapes, some with hinges and some even in a shape of a book.

We have everything you need to get started, even the cigar boxes. Sorry No Cigars!

EASTER/SPRING CARD CLASS SATURDAY, MARCH 20TH @ 10:00 AM $25

Hop into spring with a card class full of bunnies, butterflies and so much more! The cards this class will be celebrating Easter and spring. So don't be a basketcase -- bring your favorite adhesives and foam tape and be prepared for fun!

Valentine Ball

My friend Kathy brought me this ball

she recieved from her friend Nancy Levitt.

When you unravel it you get a surpise in the middle

Of course, I loved the idea-because in my back room I had a ton of small pieces of ribbon, lace and yarn. Not sure what I ever would have done with it all. I dumped all this stuff on the table and started to tie them together to make one long strip. Then I wrapped it all around the candy and tied on a tag with a Valentine's message. What a great way to use up some of your little pieces. Thank you to Nancy for allowing us to share a great idea (check her website at nancyleavit.com)
